Dr Eliza Teo

General cardiology and echocardiography

Dr Eliza Teo is a clinical cardiologist with a special interest in valvular heart disease, general cardiology and echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound).

Dr Teo graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with honours. After completing her basic physician training at the Alfred Hospital, she undertook cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, which included a Fellowship in echocardiography.

This was followed by a further 2-year advanced echocardiography fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, an affiliate of Harvard University, where she also completed a diploma of biostatistics.

Dr Teo has developed expertise in transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography. She has presented at national and international conferences, published in cardiology journals, and written book chapters in echocardiography textbooks.

Since returning from Boston, she has set up practices in Cabrini Medical Centre, Mildura and Wangaratta. She provides comprehensive cardiac services for both inpatient and outpatient care, and performs stress and transoesophageal echocardiograms.

Dr Teo believes in providing high quality care and is often armed with a smile and infectious enthusiasm.
